Microneedling facial
Micro-needling, also known as ‘collagen-induction-therapy’ delivers controlled micro-injury to the skin using fine rows of needles. Micro-needling provides excellent results for the appearance of scars. This is because the perforation of the needles creates new collagen and elastin to be generated and deposited. Myth! Vellus hairs are fine and soft downy hairs that do not taper in thickness or grow back prickly. However, if you have terminal hairs (such as around the upper lip and chin), we may opt for tweezing or waxing these areas instead of dermaplaning. Terminal hairs are more of a cone-shape, meaning they will feel prickly and may appear thicker due to the blunt-cut of the hair. The best method of removal for terminal hair is to remove the hair from its follicle, rather than dermaplaning so that the hair grows back in a tapered fashion the same as before.
